Add assets to your project by dragging and dropping them into Flare. You can also press the Import button in the Assets pane (in the Hierarchy Panel) to browse for your files.
Items that have been added to your project will appear in the Assets pane. Drag these onto the stage to position them.
Flare supports vector and raster images, which include SVG, PSD (8-bit mode), PNG, and JPG. Be sure to flatten any PSD layer effects before importing into Flare.
To import vector graphics from other software, start by exporting your artwork as an SVG. Drag and drop the SVG into Flare to load it in your Assets panel. We support the most common SVG properties, but if your file doesn't load correctly, please report the issue and include your file here. Different programs export SVGs in different ways and with different features, so we're constantly expanding our support for these.
Imported PSDs appear as a single top-level asset (with a PSD icon), which can be expanded to reveal all the layers included in it. Dragging this top level asset onto the stage (or onto the Hierarchy) will automatically position all the layers.
Select an asset and click on the Replace button in the Selection Panel to pick a replacement. You can also drag and drop a replacement image into Flare when an asset is selected under the Assets pane. You'll be asked whether you want to replace the currently selected asset or import the dragged file as a new asset.
If you drag and drop a PSD with the same name as a previously imported PSD, you'll see a similar notification.
